New tire time

Well my tires are starting to get worn down pretty bad plus they are to tall for the same size all the way around(235/75-15).Do you guys think a 225/60-15 is to narrow to run on all 4 corners.

225/60 would be a wider tire, but significantly shorter in height. You might thing about a 255/70-15. It is the same height as a 235-75, but a little more foot print(width) and fits on the same wheels as the 235 without problems. Not sure if the extra width will be a problem with your's because of being lowered. I would think you would be OK.

Also when looking into tires, make sure the tires you chose can handle the weight your putting on it. 225 has less weight capacity that 235 and a 60 series is less that a 75. I don't know the numbers, but 225/60 is probably a lot less capacitiy than your 235/75s. They may still be sufficent, but check. You donot want to over stress your tires limits.

A 225 will be 10mm narrower than the 235, and very short on a truck. Go with 255/60 or 255/70.

A 275/60-15 on same rime would be about 1" shorter, and wider. I don't see clearance as an issue on the rear, but that is a good bit wider and with your lowered from, that may be an issue. 255/60, little bit shorter, itsybit skinner that the 275/60. See if you can find someone with wheels and tires you can try on for look see and clearance issues.

I cant say up front on the wide rubber.....old longhorn is a3/5 drop,+ 1 1/2" of body drop, runs a '75 12 bolt rear , with 15x8 ralleys. She has run a 275/60/15, & currently a 255/70/15 at the rear (thats a 29" tall tire!) Up front, I run 6 1/2" van ralleys, with a 225/75/15(about 27 1/2" tall).....if you run inner fenders up front , you should check close on the tire height, depending on your drop. My old truck has a 1 pcs steel tilt clip, with no inners. I dont think you should have any issues with a 255/60/15 on all 4 corners with ralley wheels..... L

255/60's will fit great on 7" wheels......if you go 275/60, or 255/70, they will do better on an 8"wide wheel...... L
