welding helmet needed auto darkening
Anyone got an auto darkening welding helmet they may want to sell / trade whatever.. for parts etc...even cash. I need one real soon...and could care less if I bought a shiny new one. I'd like it by next week to be here.
Prefer a name brand as parts may be more readlily available. Would like a speedglas, jackson nexgen or optrel...even the miller elites I hear are good. Rod

Rod, for the $$, you can get one from Tractor Supply (TSC) for around $50. that works great. I've been using one for years and I've had no problems with the helmet, just the thing that goes in it!

I just got one from Harbor Freight for $49.99, works great and no batteries to replace like my old one that I gave $90 for about 4-5 years ago....the Harbor freight item number is 91214 for the one I got. It has adjustable sensitivity and adjustable shade. Good Luck in your hunt Rod!

Check out ebay for the Speedglas helmets, they are about half the price of what they sell them for in stores here. I went years using a princess auto type special, then got a speedglas and the difference is night and day.

I'm with 72gord
I have used the Harbor Freight one now for a couple of years. No problems. It's solar powered too. No batteries. And for the price...can't beat it. They can do expedited shipping as well.
