Great looking truck...

...but whats with the "20" emblem on it??? This isn't a 3/4 ton, and I doubt it ever was.

It does have a real cool interior...very clean!

Why are they calling it a 1500? Wasn't that a name for later 1/2 tons?

That is one bad a** truck! Like the way they have the console with the two subs intergrated in there. Wonder if the lows are unbearable sitting that close to you? Console remind me of Mike's setup except for the part that goes up in the back with the subs.

Nice truck, but the underhood shots are kind of a let down. Needs a good cleanup, some paint and a little polishing on those valve covers. That would make it outstanding.

I wish I could get the specs on that console. That's a sweet setup. One more thing I would add to the interior would be a set of Autometer Pro-Comp gauges.

for some reason looks like the hood is from a mid 70s the way it juts out over the grill liek that yet the grill is squared off, doesn't follow the front edge of hoodline... looks messed up to me

I am sure he did sink a lot of money into the truck. Now the 20 emblems , yes, that is strange. Do not know why anyone would put a 3/4 ton on a 1/2 ton Chevy. I also think the interior is the best part of the truck. You are right, the front end does look not right for some reason. If he had put more time into the engine compartment ect. he might have gotton more bids. But it is still a nice truck. Maby he got a bargain on the 20 emblems. Go figure.

Dang thats a wicked nice interior! I think I'll do the same with my truck someday, my old blue interior is quite badly worn out...

However, I must agree, the hood seems out of place. There is too much of a gap between the rad support and the grill in the center...

Also, to make that front end look good, he has gotta put a GMC grill in, and put on a set of bumperettes. That is one ugggly chevy grill, lol

Arrow

As nice as the interior is it has several discrepancies like............

Drivers door pull shut strap missing----note lack of photo of that door.

Pax side dash pad attach bolt missing.

Manual windows and locks.

Lack of cruise control.

And thats just what i can see in the pic's!

Dont take this the wrong way im not bashing this ride but for $12.995 BIN i just dont think it's worth that much.

Wow, you are right. Missed that. Good eye. I could not go around with these parts missing. As nice as the interior is, hard to understand why he did not fix these. But he does have that Silverado 20 Emblem so that says something. Yes, now that I look at the truck more closely, $12,995.00 is too high for it.

I also noticed it's supposed to have a/c, but the compressor and hoses are missing. I guess the seller 'forgot' to mention that in the ad.

note the vin number is under the dash pad when is supposed to be on the cab by the stricker

it also has the wrong dash pad since 80 has the rounded dash and the console looks badass but 2 6x9s damn i think 2 12's or 2 10s would be better but who cares im doin 2 15's in a console

The VIN moved to the dash in '79 I believe, 73-78's had them in the door pillar near the striker.

It does have a 81+ pad, but I would have done the same thing if I was upgrading the interior to look more modern like he did. The old pad would have looked out of place with all the newer stuff.

Looks like the auction ended with no sale. Topped off at $5100 and still did not reach the reserved price. Looks like the windshield wiper washer part was missing the hose from the bottle to the nozzles, but I guess with the cowl induction hood there were no place to mount the nozzles?

Not a one time thing, that's for sure. Humidity in the 90% range is common year round. Having a working a/c is almost a necessity.
