Going to pick up my truck tomorrow

Now finally my truck has arrived to Sweden. I bought it in California in January this year and it was delivered to the shipping company in January the 24th. Normally the shipping is about 8 weeks but something went wrong so it ended up being about 16 weeks.
I will be leaving my house tomorrow morning and drive the 300 miles to Gothenburg where the truck is and pay for the shipping, customs and taxes and then drive the truck the 300 miles back home.
A couple of pics from when I last saw it when I left it at the shipping company.

Maybe 'Pimp My Ride' stole it for eight weeks and it will show up as the 'Pink Cowboy' truck.
Seriously though, you must be pumped. That is a very sharp truck!

That's cool to see vintage American iron across the pond. That must have been a pain in the butt getting all of the shipping and details taken care of. And here I complain when I have to drive 20 miles into town for what I want. LOL.

It maybe takes a little more effort to get the truck you want over here but now when it is here soon it is sure worth it.
I really hope to find it in the same shape I left it but if "Pimp My Ride" stole it for eight weeks I probably won´t recognize it

Congrats. What would it cost to ship an old Chevy overseas?

Gothenburg? Hey, I've been there! Really, when I was in the Navy I went there (about 20 years ago).

Back home again after 18 hours, it´s now Saturday 00,30am here.
Everything went well. The engine started right away and it drove beautifully all the 300 miles back home.
I will take some better pictures tomorrow.

Unloading the truck out of the container.

Yes, now the first fun parts is finished: searching for it, finding it and bring it home. I think the next part, searching for parts and restore it is even more enjoyable.

Mats, Congratulations on the successful journey! Did you get that Z28 from the States as well?

<EDIT, just another question>

Why did you decide on a 3/4 ton truck?

Thanks dtlilly and Randy70C-10,

As a matter fact I found the Z28 in Germany, that is pretty unusual but I was lucky to find one there.

I wanted a 1/2 ton but when I came across this one it just felt right. I still want a 1/2 so if I buy another truck it will probaly be a 1/2 ton.

I guess I am.
After a few hours sleep it´s now Saturday morning here and I will go to the garage and unload all the stuff in the bed that I bought in US. It´s like Christmas day again.
