i'm retarded.... e brake cable

saw the other e brake cable thread and it reminded me of something... mine still isnt hooked up!!! when i dropped the tranny to replace the torque converter, naturally i had to unhook the ebrake cable. well i've got the bar that hooks to the cable on one end and somewhere on the frame or something on the other end. theres a kink in the cable where it should go, but i dont know what else it hooks to. my friend who was helping me was the one who unhooked most of the stuff while i did other things, (changing the oil etc) so i did not see where it came off of. so i've been driving for the past 3 or so months with no ebrake. smart huh? so i think its time to hook it back up. any help would be great, sorry for the stupid question

cable

hello,,not sure if it will help,or even if it's what your talking about but on my 76 4x4 there is a steel hook type thing that hooks into the frame, one on each side of frame across from tranny that "hooks" the e-cable.

Do you have an LMC catalog?
they have a pretty good detail of the e-brake setup.
If not I am sure someone can scan and post for you.

If it makes you feel any better I have been driving without an e-brake for at least a year now. I sure hope my cracked hoses dont blow on me.
