well I just installed a t-5 into an s-10 blazer with a 327. It was living behind a 350 TPI engine.
This T-5 was originally behind a 2.8L v-6 so it required some special stuff. I think if you found one from a late 80/early 90s pickup you shouldn't have any problems. |

i have been running 1 behind a 300hp/350 for over 5 years now and havent had any problems, other than burning off the rear tires. just find a v8 camaro with hydraulic clutch and remove everything up to the engine block, including the starter, it is different than auto starter. i mounted the hydraulic clutch master through the hole for clutch rod. people keep saying they are weak and i have to agree if they are using 6 cyl t5's.

Don't know how long you're willing to wait. But Muncie is making a bolt-in five speed that is supposed to be out later this year. They are making bolt-ins for trucks and muscle cars. I can't remember which mag I read this in though.

How heavy duty do you want to go? Advanced adapters has everything you need to install a NV4500. There is a write-up in FAQ about the swap by ryanroo.

would it be possible to avoid the whole hydraulic clutch in the T5. cause u can remove the bell housing from it and its about the same size as the 3 speed in there now.

I know gr8scott has a 5 speed behind his small block that I believe he robbed from a Safari van and he loves it. He doesn't have a Hyd. clutch in it either. I plan on doing the same with my truck one of these days. With the 300hp 350, 3:73's and a 3 speed, she revs pretty high
