Another Bucket Bracket ??
If I purchase bucket seats out of a 75 chevy can I just put 72 brackets on it to make it sit the same as a stock 72? Or will it still sit higher? Can I put 72 seat cover on it?
thanks, Todd

I'm putting those type buckets in my truck. I'm using the 73-up brackets. You'll need around an inch spacer for the rear mounts on both seats. They look just like 69-72 buckets. I'm putting 69 covers on mine. No big snags so far, hope it continues.

Not very much if any. I have a truck with a bench in it that I can measure tonight.

I think there are some variations because I say they sit too low, and others say they are too high. I have 73 buckets in mine, with 72 covers and sitting on 72 bench brackets to get them to the right height. Anyway get them, get a tape and figure out what you need to get them to sit right and they will look something like this.

brackets
Is that a seat cover you used or did you buy the upholstery and have someone put it on? Looks Awesome! Do you think that 72 bucket brackets would work on the 75 seat and sit like yours?

I did the same thing that tom did and I want to thank him for his help. All you need to do is make a 2 in bracket for the front of the seat and use your old bench seat brackets. As for the upholstery I think they are the same seats I bought new covers and had them put on but there was no problem at all.

I USED L SHAPE OR ANGLE IRON 1INCH 17 IN LONG.THEN CUT 2 FLAT PIECES 6 IN . WELD THE FLAT 6 IN ON THE END OF ANGLE FLAT DOWN.FOLLOW THE BOTTOM OF THE SEAT FRAME. THE ANGLE GOES ACROSS THE FRONT OF SEAT BOLTING TO FRAME. THE 2 6IN FLAT PIECES BOLT TO BOTH SIDES OF THE SEAT FRAME. THEN HOLD THE BENCH SEAT BRACKET UP THE SEAT IT HARD TO EXPLAIN BUT IF YOU HOLD YOUR BENCH SEAT BRACKETS TO THE SEAT FRAME YOU WILL SEE HOW THIS BRACKET FITS THE SEAT TO THE BENCH BRACKETS IT NOT HARD JUST A SIMPLE MODIFICATION GOOD LUCK

I measured my 73 buckets against a truck with an original bench. The height is within 3/4 of an inch. It maybe exact, but any difference is not more than 3/4 an inch. I don't know exact because I was measuring off the roof of the truck because the floor curves soo much. And everything in the truck is rounded so its hard to get exact measurements. But they are pretty close.
