Are the rear side marker lights suppost to blink with the turn signals and hazard lights on a '72?

Thanks. I was worried that I might have screwed up my wiring when I removed the trailer break setup.

I have sho-me LED lights in my grill, they're sick, -just like the cops- heh heh. I put them on this AM when i was doing trash (live on a 50mph road) and when i made this post i remembered that i left them on, good thing they take like no power at all to run. Anyways, what are the side marker lights you can use to replace ours , the ones that make them flush with the truck, those are off the block, thur off a car or our gen. correct?

bad ground

sounds like it may be a bad ground backfeeding through the turnsignals . just my two cents

So, is it stock that the rear side markers don't flash, or should they flash? They come on with the lights, just don't flash with the turn signals or hazards.

Medicanman71 - I believe the side marker lights you are looking for are off the vans.

The rear ones are strickly running lights. If your turn signals are working you might have a ground problem and not a connection problem it is back feeding through the the running lights

Fronts should blink with the turn signals, rears are just running lights.

Yes, that's exactly what I put on mine. It takes a little modification but I like the way they sit flush.

On the side markers, not all of them in the front blink. I did a poll on this and there is no rhyme nor reason as to what does and what does not blink.
The rear markers should not blink.

Medicanman,
The flush ones you are talking about are from a Chevy van. I got mine off of an 80's-90's van. They are almost flush with the body. I had to sell mine when I went to a marker-light filler for my rear tank. I couldn't get grip on it to open the thing.

Firechicken flush mount side marker lights

medicineman/kelsfine69,

Here's what the Firechicken side marker light looks like installed. I haven't painted the metal bezels yet, they will be the color of the truck.....

No, it's closer to the first picture, a pearl bronze almost identical to a 2005 Corvette color. My camera makes it looks reddish inside.
