Wahoo!!!
so saturday, I go to the JY with my dad. there, sitting just inside the gate was a longbed from a 69 c10...now, this isn't just any bed, this is COMPLETE, bow to stern, with a metal bed (argh), all the wiring and lights and stuff (not a chip on them), and the ORIGINAL paint. Not to mention that it has a total of THREE rust holes, all too small to stick a car key through. 2 are on the stake pocket, 1 on the floor. there are NO dents on it except for a tiny spot on the front where the cab kissed it.
I went back to look at the rest of the truck, the thing was munched BAD. it had rearended something, bent the frame, shoved the 350/350 combo up into the firewall, smooshed both doors, and broke the hell out of the interior. still good windshield tho . anyway, seeing that V8 made my heart start rumbling, because that meant it probably hand 3.08's instead of 3.73's like what's in mine. I want the steep gears so the motor doesn't' buzz at 65 mph. checking it out, it DID have the 3.08's I scored BOTH of those pieces for $350, and an extra 50 got a tailgate for dad's 81 ford and all the accessories, the tail lamp brackets for the ford, AND ALL THE STUFF DELIVERED!!!!! so, for $400, I have $800 worth of stuff (at least), plus flawless, rust free, irreplaceable bedsides. hehehehe....pictures will come soon...
