What years will this radio fit?

I hope you guys can help me out. I'm usually on the 73-87 board, but i found this radio in the closet at our store. The instructions have 1965 printed on them, but I was wondering what years this radio would fit?

Well, the '65 cab was '64 to '67. That would be a minimum. It also looks like it would fir the holes on my '60, but I can't tell you definitely. Might even fit 67-72.

It should fit at the minimum 60 to 66 trucks. It may fit others like bpmgcee said. Sweet Find! Is that as brand new as it looks? Could be worth some good money to someone restoring a GMC to original.

Judging by the knobs, I would say 60-63. Those are the same knobs I have on my 62. On 64-66 the knobs are a little different. But then they may be the same on GMC's. I am not to familiar with them. You should make some $ off that if you sell it though. Looks pretty cherry...

Thanks for the responses. I'll go with 60-66 since the literature in the box says 1965. It is in mint condition. It hadn't seen the light of day until about a year ago when we found the box and opened it up. It's a complete kit, with the speaker, brackets, and everything. I'll probably end up putting it on ebay, unless one of you guys want it. I have no idea what it's worth though. I'm guessing alot to the right person?

yah, should bring some huge money on ebay. Heck if someone will pay $50 for a horn cap, I'm thinking an original radio, speaker & brackets will bring lots more. Where the heck do you work anyway?

My family owns a hardware/feed store, but in the 60's my granddad had the hardware store and a feed mill. he figured out that he could get trucks for the mill cheaper if he was a dealer, so he became a GMC dealer. This radio got lucky and was stuck way back in a closet that we hardly use for 40 years. I wish there had been more in there. Just the radio, a downpipe for a straight 6, and a box of some kinda tape.

I'm sure that radio has lost it's frequency by now, you should just box it up and send it to me so that it's out of your way. Nice find!
