Pro Street 69 is finished!

Just thought I'd share some pix of the truck I started on back in 2001......Just got out on the road a short while back......69 Chevy SWB........lotsa goodies inside. I wish I still had it, but other issues came up and she had to go...... Hope you enjoy!

From what I can tell it looks good, what are the spec's? motor, trans, hp ect

Dude, I am so happy you left the badges and lights on your truck. I think that really sets it apart from the rest. I hate when people shave everything and take away a truck's identity. Kick ASS truck.

Thanks guys...........as far as selling it........it was totally my fault I got too wrapped up in it and borrowed money to build it, that I shouldn't have....just got in over my head......toooooo many NEW parts, when rebuilt or refurbished would have been fine. But you live and learn. Now I get to see it every sunny day, since the guy that bought it works at the same place as me.

It is a 69 SWB....all steel........everything original body wise, except doors (Goodmark and hood..Goodmark).....I had a 468 big block in it, but he wanted a SBC, so I built a 369 stroker for him. It has a 700R4 and a 3.70 posi in a 9 narrowed 9 inch Ford.....4 bar and coilover rear......4 wheel disc.....4/6 drop.....powdercoated frame and all under components............tilt, tach, vacuum......all guages.....Thanks to all of you guys that helped and Wes and GMC Paul, who I got alot of parts from. Could be wrong....I do so many engines anymore........It is a 4.030....3.625 stroke w/6.125 rods and flat tops, Dart heads.. Comp 270....Edelbrock RPM air Gap.....Demon carb and an HEI.....I think thats right

Nice, just sounded interesting b/c mine is 4.00 bore, 3.75 stroke, and 6.095 rod length = 364cid appx 6.0L

4.030 and a 3.75 stroke is a 383. your 6.0 liter has a 3.622 stroke with a 4" bore, unless you installed a stroker crank. if you had a 3.75 stroke with your 4" bore you would have a 377. the rod length doesn`t change the displacement. the 6.125 rod helps it get close to the 1.7 rod/stroke ratio with the 3.625 stroke that most performance sbc motors like. I don`t know why 1.7 is the magic number but I know thats what people shoot for.

You are absolutly correct. Actually a 4.030 with a 3.75 stroke is a 382.66 cid
Not really sure what I was thinking...
If I was going to stroke my motor there would be no reason not to do a 4" stroke, 408 (4.030) or 414 (4.060)

[ (bore/2 * bore/2) 3.1415 ] ( stroke )( # of cylinders ) = cubic inch displacement

Here is how I figured theCID- boreXboreX.7845( not really sure what this is or what it means)XstrokeX# of cylinders.

Thanks for the comments......the tubs did come out good, I thought also. I will say this.....The gas filler tube from the tubs to the tank makes for a slloooowwwww fill at the pump....just doesn't want to take gas. Other than that....pretty nice. Brad

Why are the fill ups slow? Was it a vent problem? Super sweet truck. I would hate to sell something that sweet and have to see someone else drive it everday. I would want to be the one driving that truck. Nice

I'm not sure.....I think maybe the bend from the tubs to the tank must have been to great. I had a vent on top of the tank though. Thanks for the compliments. Brad
