What are the RARE Options

Can some and/or all of you put your 2 cents in as to what are the rare options for our trucks? Items such as speedwarning, cruise, etc. I know there probably isn't too many since I doubt there were many options available to customers back then. Anyway, your 2 cents is welcome.

My suburban has a Fuel Filter on the option sheet. I had never seen one on a sheet before. I figured it was just one of these inline filters like you see on all most all trucks going into the carb until I was up under the burb the other day and low and behold in C-Channel of the frame coming from the gas tank is a mounted and hard lined plumbed fuel filter~! I need to take a closer look at it and see how to change the filter~! Other than that there are lots of "rare" items here are some FACTORY Options I know of that are rare:
-Radiator Overflow bottle
-Tow Hooks
-AM/FM Radio
-8 track player
-Child Safety Seat (never seen one but they are in my owners manual~!)
-Traction Control
-Cruise Control
-Keg holding tank ( oh wait that is on my Budweiser Clydesdale hitch)

I might be wrong, but I think skid plate option is fairly rare.

I'd say the rarest is the Kilometres per hour speedo. Try to find one of those in north america...

Here is a long thread from the last time this came up.
Most of the items listed in the owners manuals are not actually options, just accesorries.

How about a bedside tool box, at least one with a good door.

Well, my 69 GMC half ton has the 350 with turbo 400 trans, cruise control and the factory fuel filter under the cab on the frame rail. I also heard, although it's rare, that these trucks also came with seat covers that didn't say,"Your going to fast!!!"

Is that really a right hand drive or is it a picture developed with the negative turned around? You almost had me except the gas filler is switched too.

The shift lever is also on the left side of the column. And the gas pedal is on the left. Must be for a left footed driver.

That right hand drive is legite. There a reference to a right hand drive in one of the factory assembly manuals!

Post some more pic's. Me too thinks that has to be one of the more rare trucks/options.

Man would that be weird driving your truck, now only from the right side....

OK, I didn't look at the picture close enough. The photo is reversed. Thought that was too good to be true, a real picture of one.

But really, there is refernce to right hand drive in the Assem. Manual. If any would actually exist would be rare.

right hand drive

I heard that quite a few went to Australia for Postal Vehicle... Thats why there is that wiper mount located on the far right side... But, haven't ever seen or heard anything more than that...
Also,... I lost my left arm when I was 5 yrs old... So,... Mine is always a "Right-Hand-Drive"... haha,...
