Leaf Spring Issue

Well after 6 months of pre-assembly, parts assessment, and head aches,
it seems that the Body on "GQ" is not the issue, I think one of my rear 6"
leaf springs has been comprimized (spelling) it didn't sit level when it was
delivered, am I just SOL, or can the spring be fixed, btw they are new.

*Measurement differance between the sides is aprroximately 1.5 inches

(If you look at the pic's, she is leaning slightly to the left, and yes I have
checked all the tire pressures, body mounts, and anything else it could be,
but they hooked it / strapped it down on the right side, opposite of lean)

maybe just drive on roads with steep crowns? Or always have a big girl in the passenger seat?

seriously.........any way to move the left spring shackles closer together or the right shackles further apart?

YOU MEAN LIKE CUTTING THE PERCHES OFF, OR JUST TRYING TO ADJUST
THE REAR SPRING MOUNT THINGY, I TRIED ADJUSTING IT, AFTER ABOUT
AN HR IT JUST WENT BACK TO WHERE IT WAS BEFORE I MESSED W/ IT.

Is the front end all together? sometimes once everything is together it tweaks itself into shape.

I'd pull the springs off (probably not what you wanted to hear) and compair them side by side. If there is a difference, I'd look for damage to them both (maybe one was stretched rather than the other compressed?) If there isn't any visable damage, you could check into getting them rearched to so they are the same, or find a new set.

With the weight on the springs---pull a string from the top of both ends then measure the distance from the center of the string to the surface of the spring to see the gap. It should be identical on both springs. If not, either the arch or the weight carrying capicity of the springs are different. Either way, you will have to re-spring. Using used springs to get the piece level will ensure no other factors then you can decide to either use the old one's or go for a pair of new ones.

after you measure them out like Huck said and know the difference, unfortunately if it was me I would remove them and take them to a spring shop So the one could be rearched

You might try measuring at the front of the rig too. Mine was twisted in some distant past, but it's more obvious at the rear for some reason. These older chassis were made to flex, and sometimes the chassis itself takes a set over time.

MAYBE YOUR BLAZER IS JUST A LITTLE MESSED UP ON THE LOW SIDE AND YOU DIDNT KNOW IT WHEN IT GOT UNLOADED (i was around for that ) AND YOU'RE STILL SOL, oops sorry caps lock

But really, you're still doing better then me , i'm still putting off the lift and front and re-build and, and and and etc etc...

-i think you can check the springs w/ out taking them off
- maybe having a fatty with you is a good idea
- could be that it was because it was strapped on that side and its tweeked and a shop can "re-arch" - tweek it back for you
- i think it could be that we have old trucks, also as said, and maybe its just tweeked a bit like that and you would have a "tweek" a spring to get it to look level
- didnt you have 12315123 pics before you got it , have any to compare to then?

^ Ok, who are you, JMHO, but you seem a lil tweaked yourself, I
have compared original photos, and it's changed since it shipped,
I appreciate all the comments, for now I think I'm gonna sit on it

Sometimes if they have lockers in the axles the rig will sit unlevel after turing into a parking spot,if on the other hand you have open diff's they your problem is gonna be in the spring,may wanna check that the spring eye is not twisted.. Good luck.
