cab mount replacements

I am still in the market for a 67-72 chevy/gmc (for those of you who read my 351 v6 thread). I have come across another truck in my area, its a 72 3/4ton 4x4, but it needs new cab mounts (according to the guy selling it, havent had a chance to check the truck out for myself just yet.).

The claim is that aside from the mounts, the truck is fairly clean. My question is this, how hard are the cab mounts to replace, and second....(currently no garage at my disposal), what would the likely charge be to have said cab mounts replaced at a shop?

Would it be a safe assumption to make, that if the mounts are shot, the floors likely are too, or is it possible for one to rust, while the other stays in decent shape?

The mounts are EASY to replce if you have a flat ground and a jack you just unbolt the old ones put in new rubber and hardware and its really a easy task as long as your bolts are completely rusted into the cab like my old cab then It is a pain just look at them take some pics and post it as for a shop doing it I would say like $300 maybe? 400 tahts just a shot in the dark and again i think that depends on how rusted over the old ones are

I think you mean the floor supports are bad. There are two types of replacements. One slips over your rusty supports and you can poprivet, or bolt it in place. It's like a band-aid. The other choice is the factory style, you have to remove your old one and then put the new one one. Not sure on the cost. As for as the rest of the cab being good, it's very possible, I've seen same strange things when it cames to rust. I was at a gas station once and a guy was there with a 72 truck so we started talking. He opened his door, the entire floor was almost gone, but his inner and outer rockers were solid as could be, how did that happen?
