79 Stepside... Where To Get Chrome Steps ???
I just got a 1979 Stepside Chevy and I am looking to get some chrome steps.
Anyone have a link on # where to get these at a great price ? Thanks in advance......... |

You don't have a shop nearby that can chrome the ones you have?

Damn, I dont have any ideas. Mine came with them when I bought it and I cleaned them up real good and put the chrome polish on and they look alot better.

are you talking about something like this except all chrome? I you are, www.stlyinconcepts.com sells them. The description says 73-87 4wd. Over $350 though.

No, I'm talking about the factory steps that are on the stpeside bed itself.
Just looking for a set already chromed if possible..... |

I sortta remember JC Whittney carring them but im at work so i can't look in there cat. right now.
But if i were you id'e take off the factory ones if there in good condition and have them chromed locally. I really don't think any step you buy aft. market will be as good a quality unit as the stock ones and i don't think you will save that much money either. Most chrome shops chrome in "Lot's" meaning they will chrome a 100 lb's at a set price. So if you have one part thats 100 lb's or 20 parts that total a 100 lb's its the same price so you may be able to get some other things done as well. |
