Shaving firewall
Here's one for you folks that have shaved your firewall and installed fuse panel on the inside. I have welded up most of the holes on my firewall, fan, AC heater, clutch, emer. brake, old fuse box, etc. I have left the brake, steering opening and throttle opening as they are. Where is the best place to leave an opening for the wiring going to the front of the truck. I want to conceal them the best I can. Pics would be great!!! I'll use a bulkhead connect to bring the AC and hot water to the Vintage air set up at a later date. If you have in info on it's best location, just chime in. Thanks in advance. Where else could you go for this info!! Later, Danny

I pulled a harness out of a wrecked p/u, matched up and extended each wire from the fuse panel down through the floor at a place near the frame. I continued to run the wires right up the frame to the regulator. From the regulator to the alternator, I ran the wires through 5/8 aluminum tubing. Worked out well, especially matching each wire exactly correct guage, color etc...
I will hunt around for a pic if I can find one.

I stretched the wires like lngbed71 described. Then ran the wires out the floorboard through a grommet in the low hump trans area. I've still got to run my brake lines and vacuum for the booster (under the dash), air ride wiring, etc., and then I'll cover them all with a high hump trans cover (just bolted on over the low hump).
