Springfield Ohio Swap Meet
Over 126 acres with more than 3500 dealers set up at the meet. This was
my first time to go to this meet and with just seven hours to spend there I didn't get to see but a portion of the goods being sold. I did find a great pair of doors for my truck. I stopped by the booth of Jamie72 and Huck but Jamies wife say they were out looking for bargins. Huck had a nice pair of doors but they were already marked sold. A friend I ran into at the meet told me about a great driver side fender that he had seen for sale and I checked it out. This fender is absolutely like a new one so I couldn't pass it up. I had a very nice fender that I was going to use on my truck but will set it aside and use the one I bought. This is the place to go if you are looking for parts for your truck. I saw several nice fenders, doors and other items for our years of truck. Don |

i was there fri morning, didn't price anything for chevy trucks , but i was pricing alot of stuff for the older 20's-30's hotrods and they were really high
(2X to 3X higher) compared to the prices at charolette N.C. last month i didn't really have that much time to spend and i guess most of the vendors don't believe in setting up thurs or early fri morning. i just bought a load of sandpaper and a couple of model A titles and was on the road by 11AM

What weekend was this? If I'm between races I would like to check it out.

I must say I was fairly happy with the meet as well. I drove down to it to meet a couple of board members who had a core support for me. Got it. Bought a "slightly used" center console (although perfect for what I'm going to do to it) from Jamie72. Met Huck as well as a few other board members .
In my other wanders at the meet, I picked up a sweet virgin set of 049 big block heads , a set or 16.5" steel wagon wheels, and a few other odds & ends for my Blazer. All in all, I thought most stuff was pretty pricey, but man, the deals were out there. I agree...it was a sweet place to find parts for our trucks! |

A lot of the dealers did have a BIG price on their parts but with these
folks I didn't spend much time or any money. I bought the two doors from different vendors and made a great buy for the pass. side door. Had to pay almost twice as much for the drivers door but went away happy with the purchase non the less. I talked with a couple of guys looking for parts and they told me they look on Sat. and come back and buy on Sun. because a lot of the dealers are more willing to deal instead of having to pack it up and take it back home. They are willing to run the chance of losing the parts. Big Bad 72 Blazer, sound like you had a good day as well . Don |
