TH-400 transmission question
Hi, I'm new to this board and have a few questions. First, I am in the process of re-powering my 72 Blazer with a new "Z" series crate motor with a new TH400. I was wondering if anyone out there knows the length of the output shaft required. I talked to the guys at Monster motor sports, and they said there were 2 different lengths. Second question, anyone out there in the North East have a good double wall top for sale including the hatch? My double wall is sagging on top and the hatch is trashed.
Thanks in advance! |

Here is some info on the 205 case and it's adapters and input shaft sizes http://www.offroaddesign.com/NP205tech.htm The proper shaft stickout from the back of the TH400 for this type of 205 input gear is about 4 1/2".

Thanks for the welcome and all the info, it originally came with the TH-400, it's pretty tired though, so I guess it does have the proper adapter. I'm figuring out more about the truck every time I work on it. It was originally a CST model.
