HELP! Need Pictures of Stock Engine(s)

I need a picture of a stock 3/4 ton (C20) engine compartment with a 327 and Rochester Q-jet. My stock valve covers do not have a vent but the Chev dealers brochure shows both a valve cover vent to the air cleaner and an air pump with EGR valve. Any assistance will be appreciated.

Been pretty busy at work lately. Not much time for the board.

Here's a few pictures that may be of interest. I have some more detailed pictures if needed. Skokie, I think you've seen most of them.

Stllookn, Your truck being a 3/4 ton would be lacking most of the smog controls that my truck has. I think only the 1/2 ton manual tranny trucks had the AIR smog pumps. Automatic trucks had heat risers. I'm not sure if 3/4 68's had pvcs or not.

Hope this helps.

Tom

Previously we've had a lot of discussion about the proper color of the SB chevy alt bracket. It seems 99.9 percent of them over the years were semi-gloss black instead of chevy orange like mine. (Like in the factory picture) I'm pretty convinced that mine was orange as shown in the before picture. When I redid my engine the old orange paint seemed original to me so that's the way I redid mine.

It seems like I've seen one other original 68 SB C/10 with an orange alt bracket like mine. I can't rember who's it was.

Tom, Thanks. I do have some of those pics and I have the factory manuals. I know the '68 C30 was different from the '68 C20 since my C30 had a 2-barrel. I am hoping that the lack of smog controls on the C30 was identical to the C20 since I still have pics of the C30. I will go with that for now. I am trying to find stock 4-barrel air cleaner now. I have a later model (higher hp 327 or 350) air cleaner now since it has the tall element. It fits but has too many holes for vents etc. I've got to say that this can get confusing. I guess the key to keep your patience and be ready to repaint when necessary. At least I can talk to the original owner and maybe he even has some pictures of the original engine configuration! He had three of the original hubcaps so I thought that was pretty cool.
