Help! Looking for 700R4 Speedometer Gear Seal

Does anyone know where I can buy the seal for the speedometer driven gear for a 700R4 transmission? The auto parts stores around here don't list them in their computers, and the Chevrolet dealership is telling me the only way to get the seal is to purchase a set of seals for the entire transmission for a whopping $130. Any ideas? This is the seal that presses into the end of the gear housing and is held in by a little snap-ring.

Are you talking about the aluminum housing that goes into the tranny that the driven or speedo gear goes into? I got mine from a local tranny shop. Also this site may help.

Thanks for the link. I'll contact them to see if they have what I'm looking for. I need the little round seal that goes in the end of the housing where the speedometer cable sticks in to engage the driven gear. The driven gear had grooves worn in it by the seal so I replaced the driven gear. The leak isn't as bad, but it is still leaking.

Last week I stopped by the dealer and asked them about this part. They said that I would have to buy an entire transmission seal kit in order to get this seal, which would run me $130.
