stock spring ?
My 72 Came with HD Springs front & back ,thinking of 2" more lift .what I'm wondering is what the ride hight differance is between Stock & HD springs is . Will I need a 4" Lift or more or less?

Both mine have(had) the HD springs and when I lifted both I did not see any big difference in height. i.e. 2" lift netted about 2" and the 4" netted around 4".

I kept the drivetrain. Body/bad and chassis are gone. 1981 K30, 350/465/205 dana 60 and dually 14 bolt. Has a G80, and a flat bed. Going to replace the flat bed. 1985 K20, 350/400/208 10 bolt and SF 14 bolt. I wonder where I can find some 1 tons. Hmmmmm |

the hd spring pack for the front end is 3 leaf springs instead of 2 springs. i dont think there is much of a difference in ride height.
