I really need a cab, the cab corners are rusted, But i have patch panels for them. But, the cab i have now, has Shaved Driprails. that are starting to pop through and CANT be good..

I think it migh be as easy to chop the roof to below the back window. would be easier to fix it, other than cutting patches.

I think you are right...it will be easier to cut the roof off and replace it with a better section off of a donor cab. These come up often on the board, as I just located two for my crew cab ( I have the exact problem only worse as mine is a crew cab)

I have a 70 cst cab in Abilene. Needs the usual corners and rockers. $300 for the cab but you have to take the rolling chasis with it. Let me know and I can try to send pics or you can call me at 325-370-0071. Where are you located?
