New Pics of the Burban

I decided not to sell it. I got motivated and got the bags on the front. Lays out pretty good. Just some pics of the progress so far. Hopefully I'll have it on the road by end of summer.

Thanks Cojnit, The drop comes from the combo of the drop spindles, drop crossmember, and the bags. We also did a clearance plate on the crossmember. The back is c-notched with a 3" drop block and bags.

Will you have any geometry issues with the dropped crossmember? Does it relocate the mounting points for the lower control arms?

Sorry for the Q's, but I wanna bag my 'burb and the more info I can get, the better I can do my truck.

Sorry so long to reply! The control arms and the kit I used to drop the crossmember are all Turner Enterprises stuff. Not sure what happened to him I used to be a dealer. The plate we welded on the bottom for clearence is also from Turner. A stock crossmember would be on the ground. This one might to, once we get the arms adjusted and the motor in.
The C-notch out back wasn't to invasive. The very top of the diff comes through the floor so we had to cut a small hole about 10"x10" we'll build a little cover for it at some point.
I don't think the geometry will be a huge issue. I think the pics show it laid out. it has about 13.5" of travel from the bags all the way down to all the way up. Ride height will be in the middle somewhere. There is lots of adjustment in the upper arms, and where I think about ride height is gonna be is where everything will be aligned and set. I'm pretty happt withit. So far so good

Are you going to paint the Burban green? I too like the stance.

Thanks for the positive feedback guys. As far as the paint I'lll probably drive it in primer for a while, maybe that tan colored dupont primer. I'd like to eventually 2 tone it with white and silver or maybe black and red. I drew up some crazy graphics too, but can't decide if I want the obnoxious graphic look, or a clean classy look. Green might be a good idea.
What do you guys think???

I'm thinking of a non stock two tone. I want black on the upper and either silver, red, burnt orange or green on the bottom. Decisions, decisions.

I really like the pearl white on the new caddy/s to. Maybe that in the 2 tone some how. Our trucks are so big, it's nice to have a couple colors to break it up a little. Does anybody know a good source for a carpet kit for our rigs? something made to fit them?

I think you can get carpet most every truck parts supplier. They all sell the same kind if it is a good kit. ACC is the carpet co. Check out www.GMCpauls.com or www.mothertruckers.net I think they bother carry them.

I know it is a lot of work but you will be glad you kept it in the long run. I have always kicked myself many times for selling one of my classics then wished I did not. I know around here you do not see any of our Burbs. Mine is the only one around this part of the woods. At least I have not seen another for some years now. What you have now looks great. keep up the good work.
