Dana 60 seal replacement

Saw CG's thread and did not want to steal it. The pinion seal (?) (front seal?)is leaking on my dana 60. Is it as simple as remove nut, slide hammer out yoke, R&R seal, use nut to reinstall yoke, break torque on nut, torque nut to spec?

Any hints? I plan on useing emery cloth to clean up any ridges on the yoke. If the yoke is gouged out, any ideas on source/cost for new one?

Should be that simple, check for a seal groove in the yoke, may have to put a speedi-sleeve on it.

get a crush sleeve for it some old timers take paint and mark the pinion before removing the nut and count threads then going back on tighten until the nut mark align back up with the paint mark and recount the threads

We at GM , marked the nut to the yolk with a centerpunch, removed as above then reinstalled nut about 1/16- 1/8 past mark>

Thanks guys. A little more info on the speedy sleeve? Machining involved? If not differant seal used? To get one, just mic the yoke and head over to Napa? Or do you do the whole year make model thing?

Same seal, take the yoke with you so they can measure correctly. Clean the yoke with some solvent or brake clean then buff it with some emory cloth or something simlar the drive the sleeve on. Directions are in the box --real easy.
