got a new toy- not a truck but just as fun
I just got a 65 chevelle SS.I`m picking it up on Wednesday hopefully. News says it might sprinkle and the car doenst have wipers. My first car was a 65 SS that I bought with my dads life insurance money( that should have been a no brainer to keep the car) and I was a stupid kid and traded it away for a 56 chevy that didn`t even run. Anyway, I finally found another and the guy is trading me straight across for my custom bike project. The chevelle needs work but I can drive it now while I fix it up. Its got a 12 bolt, disc brakes, complete MSD ignition with the 6AL box,a mild 350/350 combo with headers and flowmasters. It will be nice to finally have a car to drive during the summer. My bike is still a few thousand short of being on the road and my 68 swb project is alot more than that. I`m probably going to sell the 68 project to put the money into the chevelle but thats ok, I`ll find another 67-72 swb but it will be a running one next time. I`ll post it in the "trucks for sale" when I`m ready to sell it. Untill then I`ll be driving my new 65 SS chevelle. Here are a couple pics.

awsome bike. I think I have a little more money into the bike than the car is worth but I need to have this car. Lucky for me, I`m a Harley mechanic at a dealer so alot of the parts were take offs plus my discout helped alot. Mine isn`t far from running but I would rather have the car. I can always build another bike later or just buy one already done but I`ve been looking for another 65 chevelle for a while and they don`t come up as often as I hoped. The guy even said he wanted to trade it for a Harley in his ad. What are the chances of that? Again, great looking bike. Where in NOR CAL are you from?

Nice Chevelle. Those are the years in my opinion. I had a 64 piece of rust many moons ago, but we did make it move with a oversized RAT.
