interior painting
got my new interior pieces today. need to paint them. whats the best way to prep the trim and who makes the best paint. oh yea, its humid in south texas, will that affect the paint.

What interior pieces are you painting?
Yes the humidity will effect the process....think light coats and extra time between coats to give solvents time to flash off before you throw another coat of paint on top of it.

For a decent job, I used Plasti-kote Vinyl paint. It went on easy, and doesn't come off on my clothes or skin. Here's my door panels:
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s....php3?t=156739 If I was really serious, I'd probably use SEM dye, as that seems to be the product of choice. The Plastikote is available at PepBoys among other places. They happened to have a color that is almost a dead ringer for factory red.

ive got the floor console and trim pieces that go around the headliner and windshield. i will get the door panels next. will that be a different process or should i dye that. somebody let me know the best and most professional way to do this
