Where is the water coming from?
On my truck, whenever it rains or gets washed, I get water (not standing water, just wetness) on the floor where the kickpanels meet the floor in front of the doors. As a result, I have holes rusted through the kickpanels. I am guessing that somewhere there are some drain holes that are clogged from years of neglect. Any ideas where to start to look to either:
A) seal up the source of the water, or B) open up wherever the water is supposed to drain? Thanks!

Probably have a small leak around the windshield that lets water in. Check around the windshield for any wetness during and after washing your truck.

Your vents on the kick panels are not open are they?

On mine, the sealer that sits in the drip rail had dried up and chipped out allowing water to make its way between the layers, down the pillar, and through the kick panel vent.
Got rust holes on the kick panel.....

Well if water gets into the lower windshield it can leak onto the dash and down the drainholes in the dash to the floor around the kickpanels of the truck. Maybe you have a hole in the cowl area and its leaking through there onto the floor?

Well, my drip rails have certainly seen better days. Can I just run a thin bead of silicone or something in them to reseal them, or is there something that would work better?

simple fix - pull the cowl chip out the sealer where the firewall meets the cab (on top corners on both sides) and fill them w/ some type of sealer. we fix lots of them after every rain storm and that is the problem about 99% of the time. Even if it looks like it is fine dig the old stuff out and fill it up w/ sealer because it never looks bad but usually is.

I have a window seal leak and it comes in on the dash at the corners. So as you can see by the previous post tends to come in from any number of locations. Good luck on your search.
Later, Aaron

Mine is also leaking there. I had forgot about those two filled joints. Doesn't the windshield need to be pulled to clean them out and refill the seams?
