Door hinge Pins.

What's the best way to remove them. I was able to got the tops out easy with a hammer. The lower pins will not move. Total f****d up the driver side trying to get it out. Want to see if I can save the pass side.
Thanks

Talking

Heating the hinge with a torch works good. Just heat the area around the pin and drive it out.

Yeah, like JimK hinted at, only the splines near the head cause the pins to stay stuck. Since I was replacing the pins, I had success hamering out the pins with a punch over a vice's jaws opened only the width of the pin head. I sprayed them generously with penetrating oil, first. The shock of the 2.5lb hammer strikes seemed to help break the pins free. Worked better than a hydraulic press I tried on two hinges before giving up on the press.

When I install the new pins, if one doesn't go in easy, I think I'll try freezing the pins and lightly oven heating the hinge that takes the pin's splines.
