fuel tank wire hook up

Where on the back of the fuel gauge in a 1968 truck do you hook the wire from the gas tank?

That looks to be a burb or blazer, the wire shouldn't come from the outeside through the fir3ewall if it is a truck, it'll be under the carpet.
