She stoped ticking

I started my truck up today for the first time after i broke the belt that hit one of the trans line. I dont know what the deal is it started up ok, i listend and there wasnt any ticking noise...Odd? it was ticking the day i broke the belt.... the belt broke from high reving... never doing that again

Who knows? You may be in luck and it won't return.

The old belt could've been coming apart and a sliver off it was flapping around making a "ticking" noise. But, again, who knows?

Maybe the ticking was the bad belt which broke. Now that you've got a new belt on there it stopped. Maybe?
