I was thinking of putting an LS-1 in my 72. Would it be harder to put in then a normal 350. Do the motor mounts on the engine in the right place to mount in my truck. Does the engine blot right up to a TH350. And is the wiring really hard to do if I go with a carb.

Mounting points are completely different to the older SBCs. Don't see the point in using a TH350.....buy the LS1 as a package with the 4L60E and get the overdrive. Putting a carb on an LS1 would also be kinda pointless.....the beauty of that engine is its engine management system. The wiring is not difficult to keep the injection.

There are a set of LS1 mounts that you can purchase for our trucks as I understand it.
There is a very long thread about this subject in the FAQ forum.
