Purchasing a used sway bar....a couple questions
I have heard that anyone of these will fit between the years of 67-87. Is this a bolt right up? or will I need to buy new brackets for it? I can pick one up at the local yard for about $40, but just want to know what else I will need at the same time.

I think they mount with 7/16 bolts, and the bushings are usually worn out with a used one. Go with the urathanes.

You may need to drill the holes to mount it to your frame, that's about it!

Cool!! My 72 sure could use it. On a hot day, you can squeel the tires just by turning a corner. The front wheels get quite the weight transfer on them.

There are holes already in the lower a-arms to bolt the swaybar bushing brackets on. For the bushings that go to the frame, the front two holes are there but the back two has rivets that holds the front crossmember to the frame. You need to remove those with a drill or grinder. Does that make sense? If the brackets are still on the swaybar, hold it up under there and you will see.

Yeah make sure you get the rivited frame brackets from the donor truck, try to get one off a bigger truck with a thicker bar.
If your truck is slammed i think Early Classic sells lowered frame brackets |

My truck is naturally slammed. Original springs= sagging front end.

I used the lowered frame brackets from Early classics. they get the bar up away from the road for better clearance over speed bumps ect. Definitely a good idea.

Every thing bolts up with 3/8 bolts. I used fine thread number 8 bolts with locking nuts. All bolts should be one inch long.
