Step Bumper on 67 LWB stepside

My 67 stepside has a diamond plate step bumper, approx 3" thick and 8" deep. Was this a factory option, or was this an aftermarket part? There is no mention of it on the glovebox plate. The bumper is rusted and I'm looking for a replacement. I like the regular bumper LMC truck sells, was just thinking of staying with the farm truck look for now.

Can you get a pic? The bumper I'm fixing and putting back on my truck looks like this one here. Not sure who's truck this is, hope they don't mind me borrowing the pic.

I'll get one tonight, mine looks a bit different than that, a bit thinner/deeper and does not go down as much in the middle. I'll post a pic tonight.

I've attached a few pictures of the step bumper on my 67. Anyone know if this is a factory option or if it's aftermarket? The top is rusted out and I'm looking for a replacement.

That looks like a factory bumper. It has the GM style license plate lights.(the one to the left of the license plate)

There is a 67 step in a wrecking yard nearby that has a big steel bumper, never paid mind to it. Next time I go I'll take the camera.

This is what the step on my dealer installed bumper looks like. Screwed right to the fender. It is stamped with the dealership name where Papa bought it.

Thanks, Solver. Mine is very similar to yours, but the pattern on the top is different and the edges are round a bit more. Do you know if yours was factory originial, dealer option or aftermarket?

Looks like it couls have been a fleetside bumper at one time. I appears to be the same as mine except the vertical part is not as wide???

It sure does look the same as Sillyoldman's fleetside bumper, thanks Silly. I haven't seen many stepsides with a bumper like this. I know LMC and chevyduty both sell replacement bumpers but they're the other, non step bumper style that is sleeker. My 67 was my wife's pappy's truck and she wants to restore it to its original condition, just like Pappy's farm truck she remembers. It's also got the West Coast Jr. mirrors, not the sleekest, most attractive mirrors, but they work and that's how she remembers it. When the bodywork is done, Im going to change the color, but I haven't decided. Possibly red. I suppose I could get a fleetside bumper somewhere and cut down the verticle piece. The top, diamond plate part of mine is rusted out. How difficult would it be to cut the top out and replace with new diamond plate? I know the replacement bumper (other style) is only $99 from LMC.

I still have this one for sale near Detroit.
I'll be heading to Carlisle the first weekend of August and can deliver it there as well
