how much is my interior worth? (factory buckets)

hey yall, just recently sold the 454 and tranny out of my 1977 scottsdale, and so ive pretty much come to the conclusion that this truck may be worth more dead than alive, so ive thought about parting my truck out, and lucky me, i have factory bucket seats(have the RPO glovebox sheet that lists them), original console, and seatbelts, factory matching carpet, tilt column, i have heard that all of these can fetch a pretty penny, one board member that i know said that the seat brackets themselves have gone for over 500 on ebay

if yall could bring me up to date of what these things fetch in the truck market, i would appreciate it, who knows, maybe ill cut someone a deal on the parts, but this is not a sales thread, just wanting a ballpark appraisal of the stuff i have

these are some bad pictures that i snapped with my phone just a few mintues ago, but should give ya an idea of my interior

You are right. The pictures are bad. These phones just do not take the "best" pictures. Sounds like you have some good stuff to sell. Parting out can bring good $$$ if parts are good.

The PU bucket seats, console, and brackets are probabaly the most desireable option for 73-87 pickup owners...so yes, you have a nice option there. However, I have never seen them go for $500 on Ebay or anywhere else. $500 maybe with seats, brackets, and console...but the brackets aren't worth that much. The highest I have seen them (the brackets) go for is $200...and those were cleaned up and painted and looking brand new. One thing that will help you sell them for a little more money, is cutting the floor tabs off the floor and including them in your auction/classified.

Does the truck have a factory tach? If so, that too will fetch some money. I have seen them go for a couple hundred as well.

As worth as much as you can get someone to pay for them.

Don't take this personally its only my opinion on the matter.
IMO though unless a person is rebuilding something to bone stock and needs it to be orginal they would be a fool to pay more a $100 for them. I mean for $500 I can buy new truck seats that are much more comfortable.

The good thing is you can always sit on them (bad pun) and eventually get the price you want out of them.

I agree and disagree...both at the same time.

I paid $200 for a set of seats, brackets, and console. I am not restoring my truck to stock by any means, but I wanted a factory appearance (sort of) inside the cab...mainly because I love the way the factory buckets and console look.

I am not up to speed on the 67-72 floors, but on the 73-87, the floors are nowhere near flat because of the saddle tank(s) under them. The factory PU bucket seat brackets are the way to go if you want buckets on the easy IMO.

if you do decide to sell just the seats themsevles let me know. Also, if you get a chance, maybe you could get me a good pic of the seats or one of them??? Thats the pattern and colors I wanted to have a set I have here recovered to look like, only in leather, for one of my project trucks, would be good to have for the upholstery shop to have something to look at.

may sound weird, but do you think i could get 1100obo for my rolling chassis for everything i have in it/ with it, i have all the sheetmetal to replace any possible rust, new core support, new patch panels, all the interior stuff, all is needed is an engine and tranny, or would i only get like 500 ,and in the end pretty much, my truck is worth more dead than alive

The factory seat brackets and mounting tabs will sell, but not for anything near $500. The problem I see with the seats you have is they have been recovered so anyone looking to "restore" a truck won't be interested unless they plan to put factory skins back on.

Jonboy recently sold a VERY nice set including brackets and mounts for around 400. They were in excellent condition with the factory covers still on. That should give you an idea of what your are really worth....
