Worked on my secondary resto project. Swapped in a larger motor into my 72. Oh, did I fail to mention it is a 1972 Snapper Comet riding mower. I got it to run, but have to tweak the carb and linkages a bit since I went from a measly 8hp to a whoopper of 11hp .

Today I loafed, and did Daddy's day stuff.

I bought my covers off of a board member. He had them made in black, then decided to go with red instead.

Made some more jaunts out the lane and down the road with the Cummins powered '71 C-20

Hopefully, I'll have the front clip back on it along with all the other items to take it on a REAL test drive

Did a little junkyarding Saturday and picked up a 250 that's destined for my blazer (courtesy of putter). Replaced my m/c (after mine went out on the way back from the jy trip.)

Today I got two shots and did a little Directv troubleshooting for my grandmother.

I shaved the emblems on both sides. I still have to fix the drivers side where the PO had a little fender bender, just didnt have time. Smoothed my sidemarker fill hole. Put on my newly smoothed tailgate. Put on bumper (after being pulled over for it ) I have a chrome sport bumper to be put on also. Only had today to work on the truck cuz my sister graduated on saturday.

I drove mine! It ran under it's own power for the first time in a dozen years. Only a mile. But it was a good one, though.

Sat I put a new timing chain and gear set in the Crew CAb...and started the HEI swap...Sunday I finished it up and then did the Dads day thing over at my folks...

Crew cab runs better but still not great...I think fuel is the next area to attack.

Lots of little stuff.. but best of all, put about 50 miles on the Blazer today. First time on the road since doing a complete, frame off resto. Still can't get this silly grin off my face. Parked it back in the garage and it was like... WTF, bugs on the grill!

Of all things I dragged home another project. Last week my son bought a Ranchero and this week I boughta 71 Chevelle. The wife is going to have my nads if I keep it up. 85k original miles, A/C, P/S, PDB, Tilt, 12 bolt posi. Been sitting a couple of years after the guy bought a crotch rocket. I never would have guessed 295/50s fit in these cars. Here's a pic.

I started the Serpintine setup. I really hesitated taking a running truck out of service again, But I think it is needed now. Need bigger alt. for trailer and the power steering pump was 33 years old.
I have come to the conclusion that anything is possible to do with these trucks by yourself, It is just quicker and easier with help. This month I changed the engine by myself must have put 20 miles climbing under and over the truck trying to line up trans and engine. But I did it.
