mirrors loose adjustment
What tricks do you guys use for door mirrors that loose adjustment going down the road? I have the factory style sport mirrors with the ball swivel. There are no screws for tightning the mirror head around the ball. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately, there is no adjustment for these. If you could remove the mirror (without breaking the glass) you would see that there is a "strap" that holds the ball tight for pivot. This strap is made of CARBON STEEL And, it is riveted in place. So, if you could remove the glass, and if you could drill out the rivets, and if you could fabricate the little steel strap, and if you could get the solid rivets, you might be able to fix them. I just buy new ones.

I had one that moved when I drove, I just set it where I wanted it and put a dab of super glue on the pivet ball. Hasn't moved since. It's not like it'll ruin it since the mirror is worn out and needs replacement anyways.
