10 bolt differntial for C20

I still have not figured out how to search the threads so I must ask.

Today I looked at a 68 C20 and it had a 10 bolt differential. It is sort of round and the bolts were not evenly spaced. What differential might this be? What gears are available for it. Can 5 or 6 lugs axles be purchased for this differential? Thanks in advance. Tim

Sounds like an HO52. The gear ratio is probably a 4.10, which is the lowest you can get. You can only use 8 lugs with them.

Thanks. Is there a market for a HO52? This one has been serviced within the last 30 days with new seals. Would these backing plates bolt to a half ton differential? If not the HO52 has new brakes with new drums.

It's pretty hard to break them, which is good because it's pretty hard to get parts for them. No, nothing will interchange with a 1/2 ton.
