Question WTB or Find HO72 Hub Locking Nuts?

I'm rebuilding a 1971 Eaton HO72 and need the hub to axle locking nuts and tab washers. Does anybody know if these are still available from GM? Need to find a picture from a GM service manual that shows a "blow-up" of the assembly also if anybody has one.

Thanks for your help,

I have some off an HO52 axle I parted out from a 72 3/4ton 4x4. I'll try to post pics & measurements later today and we'll see if they are the same. How many do you need of each?

Exclamation

I need 4 of the 'nuts' and 2 of the locking tab washers. The thing is, they need to be in really good condition or else I'll have the same problem as I have with my old ones. When they get worn in the area where the pronged socket inserts, the socket slips out before the necessary torque specs. are reached.

Post some closeups of the notched sides of the nuts please.

Thanks,

Thumbs up

Boone,
I finally ordered them from Blackbirds 4x4 early this past week. Couldn't wait any longer for replies, so I ordered new parts. Thank you for the offer, the nuts look to be in usable shape. Hang onto them, maybe I will buy them from you as spares.

Thanks again,
72longbed
