hydrobooster leak help

Hi guys,
It seems my hydrobooster is leaking power steering fluid. I tried to find the search function on the board to no avail.

Could someone please tell me what my options are? Are there o-rings/seals etc. that can leak, or does this normally require replacing the hydrobooster unit? Do you guys have the procedure documented somewhere? Do I have to break open the brake system...needing to bleed the ABS unit and brake lines?

1994 K2500 Suburban

Thanks for your help.

My '86 CC Dually did the same thing.

Go to the local GM dealer and get a hydroboost rebuild kit.

It was cheap and easy to do, you don't get into the brake system
itself at all.

Really simple

Just seals and O rings and I believe it had directions too.

Not to hijack this thread but I was looking into purchasing a hydro booster from the junk yard in town they told me they would take 35 bucks for it. All I need to know is this a good price plus is there anything I need to look out for when checking it out. Thank you for your help

........Yep....sounds good.

Look for cracks, shouldn't be any. (No way to crack with normal use.)

Go get a rebuild kit, you then have years of trouble free use.

Look on www.car-part.com

Check the prices on that site, in your area.

Sometimes on Ebay $30 to $50
