Here are the two new parts I picked up this week.

CSR billet electric waterpump
Alan Grove Components low mount alt. bracket

I've still got to get a new alternator (mine has some nasty shaft play) and a new crank pulley. I think they'll make well for my simple engine bay plan...

Are you going to go with matching billet pulleys?

Not sure on the alternator... may just put a good 1-wire on and leave it alone. Also thought about that sexy new MSD alternator. It will get a new crank pulley though, since I only need one belt.

Is there an advantage to having an electric water pump over stardard? Looks good.

I had the same question...

except putting more strain on your alt & battery , I don't see any need to fit such pump...

Looks good 87!

As for the electric water pump, One benefit is no perasidic(sp?) drag on the crank. Freeing up more HP. Kind of like putting an electric fan on and dumping the clutch fan.

Also there's the cool factor!!

How much HP are you talking about? Would not think it would be much but guess when you are racing a little is important.

or the fact that I can circulate my coolant without having the start the engine. Very handy at the track on a hot day when you want to get the engine down to a prime temp, just run the pump and circulate the cooler water fromt he radiator through the block.

Yeah not much HP gain. Neither is a electric fan conversion, but that doesn't stop people from doing it.
