When I was in 9th or 10th grade around 1996 for some reason someone brought two electric trucks to my high school for a presentation. One was an x-cab ranger and the other was a reg cab s-10. They were pretty cool. They lifted a panel in the bed floor to show us the batteries and if you had a valid drivers liscense they let you drive them around the parking lot..... I was only 15 at the time...... Thats cool what you're doing. If you can figure out a way to make a 4,000 pound 67 chevy run on electic and still go 75 down the highway, let me know

I guess a good question would be, how much will this increase your power bill? I hope it still works out to be cheaper than gas.

My classmates and I built a 1000cc motorcycle in an engineering program in collage. It had 4 car batteries and 4 motorcycle batteries. It went 115mph and lasted about 50miles per charge. But that sucker was heavy.

That is pretty cool. The plugs should be easy enough to change anyway.
I am hilarious.

I was at napa the other day and a guy had to buy an electric brake booster setup. It was from a 1990 caprice. no vacuum required. It was a funky looking setup but it might be what you need.

I understand hotrods, I know how to make them work. That's a different relm you're in, I wouldn't have the know-how to even know what parts I'd need or where to get them. I didn't even know that someone could convert any car to electric, this is a new one to me. Just curious (if you don't mind me asking), how much do you have in this so far? Where do you get the parts (motor, solar panel, etc....) and how did you come up with this idea? Inquiring minds want to know

parts are easy to get you just have to know what you want,I have about 5400 in it so far but (truck cost not included),if it werent for the rest of the design I am doing it would stop there but I'm gonna drop 2k more in it and it should run 200+ miles per charge

You are aware you could buy over 3,300 gallons of gas for that, right?

I assume you have a piont????? Why do I want to contuine to buy gas when it keeps going up and up and up ? Do you spend money fixing up your truck or buying a new one?Well rather than buying something else that is going to make big oil richer why not use my degree and make something worth owning ?The way I figure it I can only get 2465.75 gals of gas at what I have in this vehicle plus I have to have a vehicle to runthis fuel in , I guess I see that I have a better idea and when your paying 3 bux a galllon by the end of this year maybe you will see it to . Plus I have no oil changes, no antifreeze , no exhaust leaks ,I guess it just seems smarter even if it is alot of work getting there .Also how far can you drive on 3 bux worth of gas I'm shooting for 200 miles per charge.Your comments back are welcomed ,we all have veiw pionts mine is forget big oil
