Spindle Question
I have a pair of disc spindles with backing plates and rotors. The spindles look like 72 chevy C10 spindles however they have a larger inner bearing. From what I can find out the 1986 GMC C15 may have had an option for 2500# front spindles (normal C10 spindles are 1500#) with the same 5 on 5" bolt pattern.
Can I use these spindles on a 67 C10 if I use 72 upper/lower balljoints and 72 tie rod ends? The rotor diameter and thickness are the same as a 72 chevy. Anyone heard of these spindles? The inner bearing box is Timken LM45858. thanks Last edited by dennislbrooks; 06-29-2005 at 09:38 PM. |

heavy half???
I looked at the chevy listings for all years to 66-87 and none listed usage of the 2500# spindle/bearing. I thot it may be a Big 10 or a 3/4 ton however the 5 lugs rules that out. GMC is the only place I found it.
Can these spindles be used on a 66 Chevy C10 also with same parts as I described above?? thanks |
