idiot light -> gauges dash swap ??
Note: I already read the FAQ post about how to do this conversion. I read the page it was linked to and got the idea: I need to swap some wires around.
Has anyone documented this process or have a link to someone who has? I will take lots of pictures when I do it for sure and post a FAQ thread, so .... the more help I can get the better it is for anyone else looking to do this swap. - Do I need any special parts? - Will I need to touch the fusebox? - Should I buy a new wiring harness for the engine bay? - Do I need to buy a new water temp sending unit? - Oil sending unit? - How did the stock oil pressure sending unit work and how was it wired? Thanks!

Check GMCPauls web page. I think there is a wiring chart that tells you were to move the wires.

Thanks, I got the information on where to move the wires from the FAQ page (it links to a site with this info, maybe it's GMCPauls, I forgot already).
I'm wondering about the other questions I asked and whether anyone has pics of the process.

GMC pauls write up is what I just used. I even found the 67 steel oil pressure line.
And a vaccum gauge from old Harold. I cut up the glass and put a AM tach in the middle. Bought a wood bezel of ebay and cut out the middle to fit around the wider camaro column. Was alot of slow custom work and Alot of beer.

Re-wiring the loom is pretty easy once you figure out how to remove the wires with the metal connector intact. Once the individual wires are out (do this one at a time), you can just plug them into the loom in the correct spot.
I used a small allen key to depress the "catch" on the metal connector to release the wire. I did the swap without any problems in one shot. This means it has to be easy.
