Started to lay SOME BONDO and primer. Done, Ordering paint. Got paint, Stuff painted,Cab,Fenders, Hood more later. 9/7/2015 Got the clear coat on,now time to take one off. Started to put things back (What a nightmare) like the heating and AC stuff, inside wire harness, outside AC unit and booster, still more. May 2016, still working on the inside. Got duck work in,heating and AC. Radio (stock) in dash with after market in console later, Speaker are hooked up, Steering column is in. Getting ready to drop the cab onto the frame, Working on engine now since I have the room. Well here it is 2018, got the engine in and it runs, now I need to get the exhaust system in so I can adjust the lifters, to loud right now. Got the exhaust on now I am waiting for the break parts to come in. |

Don`t think I do.Do you mean the fenders having lines in the shape mimicking the lines on the cab?`55 second design-66 had the same fenders and although this spans two different general designs,it does mimick. The 67-72s also have the lower around the wheel well-across the door shape mimicked on the bed fenders.Does this help? There are plenty pictures in the appropriate sections of what you are looking for.BTW,what does this have to do with 67-72 Suburbans? Are you thinking of making a crewcab stepside?

Sorry for posting in the wrong section. Thanks for moving it. I have someone that has an 66/67 stepside bed. He was wondering what it would look like on a frame with an 81 cab on it. I can get the bed cheap. so i was just wondering.
Thanks again...John

Here's a few shots to compair. The first is a 55-66 step fender. The second is a 67-72. The third is a 73-up...

Thanks 72 CustomCamper, I see some problems trying to use the 67/72 year.
I'll stick with the years for my 81. Thanks John
