Rally wheels?

There seem to be at least two different rally wheels. The small slotted ones and the larger slotted ones. Are the larger slots for a car/el camino and the small slots for a pickup? What would be an average price for a set of each with the rings and center caps? What is the lug spacing on each of these wheels? Thanks in advance.

the rallys you are talking about only came on trucks and police cars, and that's all they'll fit.
Although, I don't have the answer for the why/when/where on the big hole verses little hole.

I got my used set for $250. Sandblasted and re-painted with new trim.

I paid $ 150 for set of five 8"-ers w/ center caps, & $ 25 more from another guy for wrong (narrow) trim rings, but they'll do 'til I can find better rings. Actually the narrow rings don't look all that bad on the deep rims. Rotary wire brush on a drill, a good de-greasing, & rattle can paint on the rims seems to be holding up well out in the weather for a year. Maybe sandblast & do it better later.

Had to grit my teeth when I saw a nicer set of 4 rims, caps & rings at a show/swap recently that went begging, offerred for only $ 75.00. Shoulda bought them, I know.

Just to clarify are you talking about 5 or 6 lug ralleys? 6 lugs have larger slots aroung the edges and 5 lugs have smaller and more slots. 6 lugs fit 67 to 70 1/2 2wd and all 67 - 72 1/2 ton 4wd's, where the 5 lug ralleys with the smaller slots only fit 71-72 2wd 1/2 tons........

Here goes . . ....

DEEP BREATH . . .....

PIC/Ebay listing #1: Car Ralleys or commonly refered to as 'corvette ralleys'. They came in factory sizes of 14x7, 15x6 ~ 8 & are available in many other sizes through the aftermarket. Originally just for GM 5x4.75" bolt patterns, the aftermarket variety come in many more bolt patterns including 6-lug for older chevy trucks.

PIC/Ebay listing #2: 15" 'Van' ralleys. These are a 'skinnier' version of the factory 'truck' ralley that came on vans as well as taxis & cop cars/caprices. They were 15x6.5" & are the same 'appearance wise' as the wider 15x7 ~ 8" truck ralleys. Factory 5x5 bolt pattern. Work great when combined w/the wider 8" truck ralleys for a budget 'big & little' look of streetrods/hotrods.

PIC/Ebay listing #3 & 5: Late model (90's anyway) 16" 6-lug truck ralley. 6x5.5" bolt pattern w/lots of offset (almost like a front wheel drive). They came mainly on HD 1/2 ton & 4x4 trucks.

PIC/Ebay listing #4: 15" 6-lug 'truck' ralley from a mid 70's ~ 80's 4x4 or Blazer. 15x8" & a good offest for 62~70 trucks.

Older van or truck ralleys (5 & 6-lug) had center caps that mounted w/3-bolts/screws. Some had caps that attached via screws from the front, & some attached from the backside of the wheel. Later model center caps (again 88-up model) can be used w/their corresponding 'conversion' lugnuts & lugnut caps or . . .... they can attach like the earlier style center caps w/screws from the backside & use standard chrome lugnuts.

Check these guys out! They are just down the road from you in Fresno. I got mine there under $60 a piece when I bought them. 15 X 10 rear and 15 X 8 front. And you can buy many different caps if you want the car style ralleys! http://www.wheelvintiques.com/

Both of these vendors are a PIA to get prices without calling them. Was your $60 per wheel with rings and caps?

Try using Summitt. They ship to your door and I think are cheaper. These are what I bought. No they did not come with centers or rings. I boughtr a set off E-bay for $20.
I cant get the link to come up for them but go to Summitt web page and type in what you want. I bought the corvette style Ralley wheel. The 15X10 are $62 and the 15X8 are $58
