What did you get done- 4th of July edition
I hope everyone is having a safe 4th of July weekend. I know it's really early to start this thread, but I am in Salt Lake City till late this evening. If I don't get it done now it won't happen.
I spent the week and weekend watching my daughter play volleyball at the Junior Olympics here in Salt Lake. They didn't do as well as we would have liked, but still had a respectable finish. They finished first in flight which equates to 17th out of 24 teams in the 13 American divison. Not bad for this teams first year together. Thier "sister" team took the gold in the same division, so our club was represented well. I dropped my digi-cam the first day here so I don't have any pics. I'll post some when I get them from friends. What did you get done?

I went to Stoked Out Specialties & hung out Sat afternoon after leaving work (I'm on call again this weekend). We went to a customers house to deliver a rambler wagon that's going to Columbus & I got to look @ his impressive collection in his 'toy box' . The shop will be well represented @ Goodguys Columbus (4 cars that have received their 'touch').
Today I worked on finishing up w/stripping the 350 down that's going to motivate my 68Beater. I discovered I have farther to go then planned (see my engine/drivetrain post). Anyhow . . ... now it's time to start cleaning-up & get ready to go over to my GF's parents for a 4th of July family cook-out.

big week for me
well, I sold an old 72 chevy cab to a guy which got me a little extra ching for my trip to florida where I just bought a camaro..see pics, I have been on vacation all this week so I finally got the cd player installed in the little lady's taurus, painted the fence, cut the grass, fixed a window, tuned her car and mine, re-built the tractor and sandblasted a few things for my mazda truck project, painted and finished the s-10, and have been busy helping my father with his nexy project the 41 sedan, also trying to strip down the 76 stepper so I can get rid of it out of the yard before the new frame and cab gets here. ...so much for the word "vacation"

I put a new GM airdam on my '99 Tahoe Interceptor that didn't come with one. Picked up a set of 2" McGaugy's spindles for it as well. Will have the drop done by the end of the month I hope.

well lets see... i worked outside getting land ready for new house.. picked up some trash.. cut down alot of weeks (6-8' tall) and moved a few cars.. including a 69 ford that had a rear tire locked up.. figured do the easy one first... took 3hrs.. crushing my front off road lights in the process.. moved a pontiac sunbird.. as well as a 4 door chrysler.. couldnt move the dodge aspen, couldnt find ignition switch and didnt have wheels or tires..
sunday i worked 12hours and am now getting the grill ready to have a cook out and set off fire works.

went Friday after work in search of a cheap bed to put on my '73. i couldnt find one i could purchase outright for cheap, so i made another deal. i ended up with a '89 longbed and tailgate for it, along with a sponsor for the derby. cost me $50. not a totally bade deal for as solid as it is.
Saturday i cut the grass, picked up the above mentioned bed, and headed to Kalamazoo, Mi for my best friend's bachelor party. came home this morning, finished cutting the grass, went and helped a friend with his derby truck and got a few pointers for mine, then came home and tore into the bed. so far i've got 1 bedside off. going to go jump in the shower and head to a party in a few minutes. |

Got a yet another replacement alt for my Firebird, good thing for lifetime warranties.
Built a speaker box for the truck. Still not done, gotta caulk it and carpet it. Hopefully it will be finished tomorrow so I can get some pics up.

Hi all !
I went to the east of Paris with my friend , the Coyote , drink some beers on a monthly american cars event... went saturday eve with a french greenie to a town near my house , the guy wanted to see a 1972 T-Bird for sale... I drove the T-Bird , to see if everything was all right : it was ! he bought the car for 3900€ , a good deal if you'd ask me... he went back to Paris the same evening , he had never drove a car with automatic transmission & certainly not one with a 429 ci engine in it... I have no news from him , I hope he survived the journey... greetzz the Baron

If a picture is worth a thousand words then here's a 2,000 word essay on what I've done over the weekend. I'd have it back together and be started on the other side by now but the torch ran out of O2 and I won't be able to get it filled until tomorrow.

Went to a car show here today and had some nice '73-'87 Chevys trucks at the show. Did not think to take my Kodak. Sorry. Going to take the family to see all the fireworks tonight. Just took it easy yesterday.

Yesterday I made ice cream and went to my Dad's for BBQ and the boys shot fireworks in the rain. I ordered a polygraphite suspention kit and 3.42 gears plus everything I'll need to get the 12 bolt rearend rebuilt for the Chevelle. Didn't get a chance to get on here last week much since my father-in-law had 5 by-passes on his heart & we spent most of our time in Memphis. He is doing great though.

Broke in the the 4.10's and started playin' with the GearVendors. I'm looking to break into the 11's. I ordered coil over brackets to mount my shocks because I believe the shocks at the factory angle are not compressing when launching.
