installed a pair of McGaughy's 2.5" drop spindles designed for 63-70 trucks. Also installed a new 5 lug disc brake setup as well. I left the stock tie rods in place because it looked like the previous owner had rebuilt the front end recently. I didn't mess with the tie rod sleeves at all. Now it looks like one of my wheels is "toe'd" in a noticable amount and the other side is also a little bit. I knew I was going to have to get it aligned but I'm now I'm wondering if I need different tie rod ends.... anyone experienced this? thanks.

It sounds like the spindels are cast a littile different to me. Take a tape measure and set the toe a 1/4" in on the front of the tires and drive it to an alignment shop and it should be fine.

63-70's have front drums and the spindle for a 71-72 is different for discs. i don't know what the spindle differences are but that's probably your problem.

Alot of times after installing spindles the wheels will look way out of wack because of the different specs built into them to compensate for the dropped spindle.

thanks for the input guys. I talked to the alignment shop, they said it shouldn't be a problem.
