Question Truck Width

Well not exactly truck width but here's my question. I bought a lwb rolling truck frame from a board member. I need to tow it home. Will a rolling frame fit width wise on a u-haul car trailer?

Thanks in advance,
Mike

Yes, I bought mine the same way, I drove to Lynchburg, Va. went and paid for the truck and went straight to u-haul. Put the truck on and drove straight home, 22 hours and almost 900 miles well worth it though. I'm not sure about the length as my truck is a shorty, but I know for sure it will fit width wise. Their trailer was pretty nice and drove well too Cost me about $165.00 for the use of the tralier one way. Randy

A LWB will be too long to fit on the trailers that Penske rents. I just hauld my SWB on one, and it barely fit length-wise. It had about 3 inches to spare in width though. I'm not familiar with the trailers that U-Haul rents. Hopefully they are longer than Penske's.

U haul trailer

One thing to watch out for is the width of your wheels and tires. I hauled my swb k10 back from St. Louis but the truck with the larger wheels and tires would not drive on the trailer. Had to go junkin and get tires and wheels. The u haul trailer handled really great and I would say thats the one to get.

I wasn't to worried about the length. I helped used one before to haul some cars, but never a truck frame. The width is what worried me, but I think it will be ok. Now I just need to find a U-haul that has one . I have about 8 places that I can call so it hopefully won't be a big deal.
