What is this thing, and how does it hook up?
I found this thing under my truck today. I remember seeing it on my fuse box before, but I have no idea what it is suppost to do. Is it maybe the root of my buzzer problems?

It looks like a radio noise supressor. Basically a capacitor to reduce the a/c ripple from the alternator. Does it have a number followed by 'uF' on it somewhere? If so, then just attach the wire to the +12V going to the radio and bolt it to the chassis. It probably won't 'do' anything unless you are listening to the radio with the engine running.

Looks like a condensor if you have points. But if it was on your fuse box it is probably a noise supressor so your radio won't hiss as you rev your engine.

Say what?? No stereo in your truck? Even if you just have the radio this will help. You do have a radio don't you? Just kidding with you.
