What's the best vinyl die/paint?
I just got a new dash and need to paint it, but the local parts stores just have one shade of blue, brown or red generic vinyl paint bombs. What kind do I need to look for and where? Thanks, Mike

I like products from SEM. I've used them a lot, spraying leather, vinyl, plastic, etc with a cheapie HVLP gravity fed sprayer from Harbor Freight.
http://www.vinylpro.com is a great source for SEM products. They are a top notch place to order from. I've probably done 10 orders through them in the past year.

Vinyl paint
I used NAPA parts store. They custom mixed the colors I needed and sold me the flexible and hard base to mix the color with. It aint cheap but you can paint the soft and rigid vinyl. It went on easy and lasted very well.

Thanks guys! That will get me headed in the right direction. Are their spray can products good? My gun skills are poor at best and I would hate to screw up a brand new dash, or have to do it again.

Yep. I've used both and they work well - but prep is key. Also spraying the stuff is easy. It's actually easier to spray with the HVLP than it is with the spray can IMO. You can check out my site at http://www.dmwtech.com/gallery/v/k20/?g2_page=2 for a picture of some door panels I sprayed white with SEM. If you do go with the bottled stuff, buy the SEM Crosslinker that you mix into the bottle, shake it well and then you can pour it right into your gun. It makes the finish much more durable.

V.H.T is really good also. It's Dye not a paint. Yet you still spray it on.
